I have an Alesis USB/MIDI Percussion Controller, which triggers sound in my Macbook Pro. I want to do this live. What kind of amp should I get for the Mac onstage?

something full range, with ample ins and outs. keyboard amps are plentiful and inexpensive. certainly not a guitar or bass amp. you'll want to be able to take a direct out to the board from the amp, and it may eventually be useful to have a small mixer, either built into the amp, or outboard. in my day i've used Roland. Barbetta, and Motion Sound keyboard amps, all decent. these days i'm using powered JBLs, the G2 10" version. it's punchy and full range, and having stereo is a real lift, even at modest volumes.
a midi kit drummer i know uses a Roland amp designed for drums. it's got an extended woofer cabinet. it' mono, but it really moves some air. expensive though. and i don't recall the model.
enjoy and good luck.
