I use logic express 7, want to upgrade to logic studio

apple store told me that its no longer available

should I buy it from scratch?

What's your computer setup? If you've got a relatively recent setup and plenty of RAM, I'd recommend moving up to Logic Pro 8.

Check with music retail stores - both physical & online. I bet somebody has an upgrade in-stock. If not - I still think it's worth it - the program use to list for $999 at half that it's a steal.
