Hi guys, i would like to buy a Keyboard, but im not sure which one, nor if a controller would be a better option!. The fact is that i want the keyboard/controller to compose through MIDI, have sensitive keys, 61 at least, and more than anything "AUTONOMY". Im not sure if there is any controller with the capability of having sounds like a keyboard, so you can connect it to an amplifier, or any other source but the computer. In other words it would be perfect to use it on stage, im not professional, in thaat case i would buy a synth, but im looking forward spending more or less 300/400 dollars.

In the other hand there are Casio´s keyboard, im not sure if those are toys or what, but everyone says bad thing about them. Im newbie into keyboards, most of them says they are not compatible with mac, but, it has "GENERAL MIDI", i don´t understand what does it mean, somehow could it work the same way as a controller does??

Im between 2 options, casio CTK810, or, Korg K61P, what would you recommend? any other keyboard/controller?
