Hello! First time poster.
I've got a roland VM-3100pro digital mixer that came with the RCP-1 card. All is installed, but I've got a small problem. Any time I use the ASIO compliant programs on my system, they all record at a very low level.
What I mean is that I get nearly no response. I'll set my source on the mixer at, say -6. But the result is -24 or so in the software.
What's up with this? I've searched the manuals to no avail. Is it the mixer? Is the the RCP card? Is it the drivers on the Mac?
I'm about to "gasp" buy a PC to make the thing work!
Help!

I'm afraid you have me at a disadvantage, as I don't know what information to give? I'm rather new to this, and wanted to use the mixer to input audio into the mac for inclusion in my video work.
I'm booting in OS 9 on a G4 450.
I don't know what you mean by -10 +4 problem.

Okay... I did a little research and I found a place in the RCP control panel that allows me to adjust from +4 to -10 and another position called "consumer." However, this entire section is greyed out, and can't be changed. Everything is set to +4 however.
I can't find anyplace in the manual for the mixer itself to tell me if the mixer is set to +4 or whatever. So I don't know if the mixer has those settings or not.
However, I could consistantly attain zero on the mixer by sliding the mic slider all the way up, and the master slider all the way up. And in my applications I could only attain -14. So that tells me that I don't think I am set up properlly.
If this one thing could be fixed, I'd be sooooo happy. Does anyone have any ideas how to change the mixer?
