i was wanting to know what the best noise reduction software would be to use, especially with film and commercials. i use ableton live 6, and my partner uses live 6 and protools LE 7. all suggestions and price ranges. vst, au OR rtas

Adobe Soundbooth looks pretty good. Used Audition a lot, it's amazing for noise reduction and editing. This looks like it's as close to that as you can get for Mac.

At the very high end you have the Cedar DNS2000, but that's horrifyingly expensive:
