Help! I have a xmas backing track to get out in the next few days!
am running mac OSX 10.4.8
emagic pro 6
and a62m interface

I haven't used the equipment for some months and found it did not show up in
the sound options boxes, neither did the green lights show up. I downloaded and
reinstalled the drivers, now all appears as normal - except! - no sound. Cd's
play, and midi tracks on Emagic play through the computer system but audio
tracks have no sound. What have I not done?

Mhmm try with another user connected to OS X.

Which mac have you? If it's PowerPC, try to zap the PRAM, the NVRAM, eventually reset the PMU/SMU (search here, I gave the links of how to zillion times and I'm lazy tonight wink.gif

Try "Apple+Shift+P+R" during start-up, that'll zap the PRAM (disconnect your devices first). Then restart with the devices attached.

Best of luck!
