I would like to be able to do some editing and such in Pro Tools M-Powered without hooking my Firewire 1814 up to my MBP. Is this possible? Is there a way to make the Mac think that the Firewire 1814 (or some other M-audio device) is connected without having to connect it? I'd just like to be able to run Pro Tools without having to actually be fully setup
Thanks!

There is no way that I know of to use M-Powered without one of the M-Audio products listed on their website.
Unless you can use Pro Tools free for OS 9.x

Buy an M-Audio Transit USB. For around $80.00 you have 2 inputs and 2 outputs for use with Pro Tools M-Powered. It has digital inputs as well if you wanted to use a better set of converters. I use it as my mobile rig with my Powerbook and love it. Peace.

Jason Amazingly enough, I already have a transit USB. I never even thought to use that. Thanks! I'm using a MacBook Pro. Was there a driver update for the Intel cores with the Transit?
