I'm interested in getting into computer music-no experience as yet-but the Mac I have is a G4 500 MHz with 800+ Mb of memory. I've recently upgraded to "Tiger" and working seems to be at least a bit slower. I'm wondering if this system is enough for the latest version of Logic, which I assume is optimized for the G5.
Any advice?
Thanks,
S

Logic is optimised for PowerPC, so G4 and G5 will both work perfectly well. The G5 would just be faster (most of the time). Your machine is capable, but will find itself stretched to run some of the more demanding instruments and plug-ins within Logic.
