Does this exist? I want to compose an adaptive score for my multimedia demo CD, but I've yet to locate any software that enables interactive control of channel mixing and looping. DirectMusic is the only thing I've heard of, which runs ontop of DirectX which is emulated by MacDx which is unattainable in the commercial realm. Anybody heard of anything? If not, I guess this is a good idea for an ambitious Mac developer.

try Max/MSP from cycling 74 (www.cycling74.com)

with a little practice you could build a interactive adaptive music player
and it is crossplatform only not universal binary for now.
