Hi
My g4 has died and I'm looking for a replacement. I've seen a G4 with PCI-X slots will these accept the Digi 001 card? Besides the AGP graphixs card issue are there any other problems I should be aware of before purchasing the computer? Thanks again for your help. The Roy |

Only G5 have PCI-x slots. (like mine)
The 001 only likes PCI. PCI slots are in G3, G4 and one or two models of "low end" G5s. If you doubt still, look at the precise model on Everymac (I strongly advise you do so) Which G4 is it? -------------------- Our Classifeds • Nos petites annonces • Terms Of Service / Conditions d'Utilisation • Forum Rules / Règles des Forums • MacMusic.Org & SETI@Home

Which version is it -
The ad says APPLE POWER MAC G4: 1.25GHz DUAL PROCESSOR most recent version of the G4 Power Macs. I'll double check with seller but that's the information in the ad. When I asked him about the PCI slot he emailed me with the PCI-X slot information which put me in the spin. The seller is telling me that the G5s have pci-e slots. What 's your take? Thanks for your prompt interest and advise, very reassuring. The Roy |
