I AM absolutely desperate for a solution to a problem I have since downloading PlayerPro 5.9.4.
When i try to select the ASIO output driver I get a message to say "Driver not working" This is killing me, I need to find a solution as I have tried everything I can think of.....even a clean install of OS 9...but nothing works. PLEASE PLEASE if anyone has any ideas mail them to me.... kevan.gordon@blueyonder.co.uk |

more information needed here!
which os, what else, other than music are you using the computer for? which machine, why player pro? driver not working basically means driver not working, unless you have an extensions conflict or similar problem, you need to talk to player pro's authors or try some different software! good luck... -------------------- one for all and all for one...

I use a Dual 450Mhz G4 with 896MB Ram. OSX 10.1.5 and OS 9.2.2.
It is loaded with tons of major name software. What I can't understand is why it has stopped working only since I downloaded the 5.9.4 update. I have even reinstalled 5.9.3......but still no luck. I did a clean install of OS9 and turned of all extensions but it still doesn'y work. I have contacted the Author but have had no reply yet....I'm getting desperate here!!!!!!!!!! |

1/ are you sure you've desinstalled EVERYTHING that the 5.94 as installed, including invisible files (unlikely to occur but…)? (double check and then some)
2/ have you rebuild your desktop in case ? 3/ if these basics don't work or are not accurate, do like damann said, ask the developpers, they won't bite you if it's a bug, they could be or should be aware of it. 4/ there's no n° 4 -------------------- Our Classifeds • Nos petites annonces • Terms Of Service / Conditions d'Utilisation • Forum Rules / Règles des Forums • MacMusic.Org & SETI@Home

did you remove the preferences?
any extensions, control panels, application support files etc? also, it's always a good idea to make a complete backup before installing new software. ALSO, to partition a drive, put seperate system folders on each partition, use 1 of them for music ONLY! 1 of them for internet only. another for whatever else you get into. this avoids nasty extension clashes, viruses etc. have you run norton, techtool or diskwarrior? you should download extensions overload 5.9.1 and have a really good look at all those extensions, control panels etc. norton disk editor or resedit will show you any invisible files on the drive. make them visible, back them up and then try deleting them. having said all this, i remain pretty convinced that the problem has come from the developers!!! good luck... -------------------- one for all and all for one...
