I have a brand new i-mac (well e-mac really), a KORG XD5 synth and I want to make some tunes. I understand that (other than software) i will need a 'MIDI interface' and a mixer. Any reccommendations? It's all like foreign jargon to me. I'm not rich by any means so cheap + cheerful 'will do for now' stuff is what I'm after......Any advice much appreciatesd,

you won't actually need a mixer. all the software sequencers have a built in mixer.
decide which sequencer(cubase, logic, performer etc) you want to use, then buy the cheapest midi interface available from the makers of the sequencer or try a midisport. less problems from staying with the sequencer manufacturers though... -------------------- one for all and all for one...

korg tho, good stuff, my triton le rocks the house, for interface go with fastlane or m-audio (previously midiman), both good/cheap, and DONT USE LOGIC (personal experience) o yeah, dont forget midi cables |
