Hello, I am going to have a party and want to record cd's with a bunch of songs.
I want to have a smooth DJ-transition between each song. Which program should I use if I want it done automatically and easy?
Thanks in advance! Mattias

Couple of things:
1) iTunes will not burn audio CDs with cross-fade. It will leave a gap between tracks. So if you want to have audio CDs then iTunes is not the answer. iTunes will burn a MP3 CD with cross-fading.
2) You could, of course, connect your Mac up to the sound system and left iTunes play with cross-fading. The iTunes cross-fade is very simple and only a single setting applies. It is not thre same as the beat-matching that DJs use.
3) You could get hold of Traktor and work through your library of music, beat match things and then create a set of music in Traktor. I'm not sure if Traktor can then export the set to a set of audio CDs. This will cost you money to get Traktor.
4) There are other apps for a Mac that do DJ stuff like MegaSeg, DJ-1800, AsktheDJ, etc. but you would need to run the audio off the Mac into your sound system.
5) Finally there are other audio/music apps that can turn their hand to DJ stuff - such as Ableton Live. But you'd have to do a lot more preparation.
Hope that this helps. Vince
