I checked out the demos online and really likes what I heard. Right now (until July 31st) they are offering a sale price of $1495, as opposed to the list price of about $3000. Is this sale for real? Is the price ever $3000? I ask because if the sale does actually run out at the end of the month, I'll purhase this sounds now before they become more expensive. Otherwise, I'll wait until a more convenient time...
Thanks! |

Listen Philharmonik Miroslav of IK Multimedia. His introductory price is 419 Euros. Its sound is fantastic. Really good. In addition his interface is beautiful.

thanks for the tip! I checked it out, and I have to say that I preferred the Quantum Leap package. It just sounded more real, especially the woodwinds.

It's expensive but did you check out Vienna Symphonic LIbrary www.vsl.co.at - I use their full package, love it I think it's the best. The best part is that i'ts upgradeable, if you buy Opus 1/2 you're paying the same price as the miroslav I think about that - later you can upgrade to the pro edition and you're sounds are always going to work together. Flexibility - they're recorded dry so you can place them in any room you want, if you use altiverb, it's even better because of their placement abilities check out www.audioease.com I think. I don't have altiverb, low on cash right now, but I wish I had it because it's perfect for VSL. VSL is well known to have the best samples and is of the highest quality, althought everyone has their own opinion, this seems to be the general consensus.

I checked out VSL, and I really likes the extensive nature of the library - it's VERY realistic. the strings were a bit too bright for my personal tastes - I prefer the strings from the EWQLSO.
I don't have altiverb either - but I do have the space designer plugin that comes with Logic - that's pretty good too. This post has been edited by bluetone78: Wed 13 Jul 2005, 00:47 |
