Hi
I'm using Logic 7 with a Yamaha 01X controller/interface. When I record-arm audio tracks in Logic via my 01X, I get intermittent crashes. Any advice? Thanks Angus -------------------- PwrBook G4, 1.33, 1GB RAM | 01X | Logic Pro 7 | NI Abysynth, Kontakt, Reaktor | NordG2 | FW410

They say these use a lot of CPU power so you could try streamlining things a little..
turn off software monitoring for instance? audio and drivers window. what mac are you using, OS, what driver version? you sharing the fw port with a drive or such like, you got plenty of ram? Try running activity monitor in your utilities folder, it's mac cpu gas meter, you can set it up so the dock icon shows a history of cpu usage, this might show you any cpu overload / maxed moments. what do Yamaha tech support say about it, if you've got warranty you should be on their case as it may be a driver issue that needs an update and not a setup issue. Hope it helps. -------------------- Simon Flinn

Yeah, mLan eats CPU so I've set it to 2 in/out only.
Using a FW drive chained after the 01X, but I only have one FW port and all my audio is on the external drive. Using 10.3, G4 powerbook, 1gig ram I'll try Yamaha tech. Cheers for the response Angus -------------------- PwrBook G4, 1.33, 1GB RAM | 01X | Logic Pro 7 | NI Abysynth, Kontakt, Reaktor | NordG2 | FW410
