Just bought a Mackie Control second hand, which originally was a Logic Control, but the firmware to convert it to a Universal Control has been implemented by the original owner. I have no previous experience whatsoever with such control surfaces, so I plugged it yesterday midi in/out into my 4x4 M Audio midi interface, turned it on, having previously configured it from the Midi-Audio Setup menu in Digital Performer 4.52. Whenever I move the faders on the console, the led on the midi interface lights up, meaning it's being detected, but I was expecting the faders to automatically match the position of the virtual faders in the mixer screen of DP when I open a project or being able to start/stop playback using the relevant buttons on the Mackie, which is not at all the case now. I thought this Mackie Control issue would be a quite straightforward plug&play procedure, but it seems I was wrong... Any suggestions of what I might be not doing right or still need to do to make it work? Thanx, A.
