Ok Im a guy who is disabled. I want to do computer music as I can use a mouse good. Now my question. Is there a software package that will respond mouse clicks to code chords into Synth packages like Reason? Like if I click C, F, G., it would play the chords. hoping so thanks for your time.

I've had a look at Apple's specific page for disabled persons, but it's the wrong way to go (maybe). Can someone help? There must be a software making chord… (sorry but it's really not my interest zone…) Have you been looking a bit in the software section upper on the page here? in case there's something obvious that does'nt spring on my mind (rather foggy at this hour of the night I should say).

You could use the software Max/MSP or alike to program your chords, and use an internal MIDI connection to link up with Reason. You could do all the necessary programming yourself using the mouse and typing a few object names. This would give you the chance to decide yourself what chords you might want to play. Have a look at http://cycling74.com for a 30 Day full Demo. contact me if you'd like a little example program, which you could run in an runtime environment without time restriction. Best wishes S

Reason (or any other MIDI app i know of) will let you draw stuff in MIDI as well. Not quite as quick as playing it on a keyboard, however even when keyboarding it most MIDI musicians i know still go back in with their mouse and edit their stuff manually. Back before I got a MIDI keyboard I drew all my MIDI parts with my mouse and the pencil tool. It actually isn't that horrific, and with some good copy/paste skills should at least function until you can find something that'll trigger chords like you'd like.
