OK. Sometimes I download audio from the net and if comes in the form of an Internet Explorer "attachment.php". My problem is not knowing how to convert these to usable files for Logic or Pro Tools. Anybody who can answer my question is a hero in my book because this would help me out enormously. Knowledge is power and I need some in this topic!

Something is going wrong when you download.

A PHP file is a type of internet code file, just like a .html or .asp page. It isn't audio; it's probably the webpage that redirects your browser to the actual file. But for some reason your browser isn't getting redirected correctly.

Are you using Safari?

Hey Nate D. I'm using internet explorer. I've found a common trend (I think) to these .php's. You know how sometimes you'll see a little box with a red X in it? This usually shows up when something isn't downloading correctly from the web. These have been present when I'm trying to download a file and it comes as an "attachment.php". I apoligize for my computer misterminology, but I'm trying!

Oh, may I add that these .php's look somewhat like a quicktime file in that they have play and stop buttons and play the audio that I'm downloading, but when I try to save as an audio file my computer only lets me save it as a Quicktime movie file. This, of course ruins the audio file altogether.

it sounds like you are runnig macos9 with the internet-explorer. if not switch to safari. with your "php's" - assuming its os9 ... rename your file to the correct name (eg: audio.aif or .wav or .mp3 ...) - get soundapp (its freeware) - it should read your files and convert them into something usefull.
