Hello everyone. I have a G5, Dual 1.8, running Mac OS 10.3.5. I'm using the MBox with Pro Tools LE 6.4. I loaded up Pro Tools and hooked up the MBox. When I choose to start a new session, a dialog box opens so I can name the session. After I name it I choose save. Thats when the trouble starts. After I hit save, the box closes. Then this grey, opaque screen color scrolls down the desktop until it's filled up. (but I can see my desktop through it.) Then a solid grey square pops up and states shut down your computer or restart. This text is followed by a bunch of other languages that I'm sure say the same thing. I can restart and try it again, but it just happens again.
I found a post about repairing my permissions. I tried that but still get the same problem. Has anyone had this problem? If so what was your solution?
Thanks, Frame

Soif, Thanks so much for the upgrade tip, I wasn't paying attention. I have Pro Tools 6.1. I got to the Digidesign site and saw the upgrade to 6.7 so I backed tracked to a free upgrade to 6.4. Loaded 6.4 up and it's working. But this brings up another question. I am running Mac OS 10.3.5. Digidesign has posted the LE 6.7 upgrade that supports Mac 10.3.5. I don't qualify for the free upgrade. Should I try to find out how to buy the 6.7 upgrade that is okayed for my system? I always read stories of people upgrading and running into troubles, but I'm just getting started with 6.4 so starting with 6.7 would be just the same to me. Thanks Again, Frame

I've been using PT LE 6.4 with OS 10.3.5 without problems. It's not unusual for Digi not to certify a new operating system even though it stil works.

General rule is to wait until the latest update comes out and then upgrade to the one BEFORE it. Let everyone else have the headaches that come along with not knowing what the bugs are going to be.
