I'm still trying to understand if it's multiprocessor this time or not. The site doesn't seem to talk about it a lot of marketing blahblah is drowning tech info! (all right, it's the same elsewhere, but we can still hope that one day…).

please note on comparison of express 7 and pro it seems that there is no MIDI OUT!!!! in express
looks like only internal instruments so express seems to have become an upgraded version of garageband complete with no USB key protection system and no MIDI out just like garageband in other words it is crippled unless you want to use softsynths and loops only |

What's the use of a MIDI sequencer if you can't have MIDI going out? Where have you seen that?

QUOTE (lepetitmartien @ Sep 30 2004, 04:04) I'm still trying to understand if it's multiprocessor this time or not. The site doesn't seem to talk about it http://www.apple.com/logic/distributedaudio.html It seems to support distributed audio processing, so I can only assume that it will support multiprocessors, considering all Power Mac G5 computers are multiprocessor. |

I was talking about logic Express which wasn't supporting a second processor as a standard because they decided to screw it. Mind that the OS 100% manages the processors so if you want to use only one, you must ask hard to.
It's not said explicitly on the site. Site which is organized like… (you have to track logic Express…). Even the Logic pro is not easy to navigate (Oh! the fellows from Apple, less marketing talk and less layers for information would be great!!! to find the important features and to move to another section is not what I would say… when I click on a screen capture, I want to see it BIG, not to access somewhere else and not see the screen capture… sigh) re-sigh… -------------------- Our Classifeds • Nos petites annonces • Terms Of Service / Conditions d'Utilisation • Forum Rules / Règles des Forums • MacMusic.Org & SETI@Home
