Cubase version 2.0.1 No, it's legit. No, only the built in sound card.
And by tthe way, I know what the problem is now, just not how to fix it. Here's the problem: it won't play audio. At all. None. I opened the tutorial file, which has audio in it, and the midi played through my keyboard but not the audio.
Computer: iMac, 1.25 GHz, 512 MB Ram Speakers: Bose Companion 3 OS: 10.3.5 Cubase: 2.0.1, SX

Other audio won't play, either, though.
How do I do this?
