SKEAM,
Guitar Rig is THE "Amp Simulator" and I am loving it. It is kind of expensive, but actually worth the price if your processor can handle running it. http://www.native-instruments.com Amplitube really can't compare to Guitar Rig, cause Guitar Rig can make even the sh*ttiest guitar sound really nice! I don't really now of any decent free amps, but if you are running a recent Mac and you have Garageband. It has its own amp simulator. I did some recordings a while back for someone who was questioning the guitar amp in Garageband. So check out that post if your interested in hearing them: http://www.macmusic.org/agora/forums/?s=&l...hl=entry74932 With Garageband you have a nice $50 (technically less than that) beginner Digital Audio Workstation, that has midi, live audio, effects, amp presets, Audio Unit support, and a great loop library. Garageband is the entry level DAW killer app which really bring basic Audio Multitracking to the masses and at super cheap price. (sorry for the rant, but was looking for this program like 7 years ago, but sadly by the time it came out I was above it, I mean I still use it but spend most of my time using Ableton's Live 4. -------------------- Ableton Live 4.1

Nomad Factory's Rock Amp Legends sounds really good, you can try a demo for 10 days or 2 weeks or something like that...
