Hi,

Is anyone using their Roland CDrom sample collection from the S760 hardware sampler in any software sampling programs? What do you like? What do you use to translate the samples best?

I've been using the Logic's EXS24mkII and Chicken System Special Edition EXS translator. Not totally sold on it for using the Roland sounds like I'm used to.

What do you like?

Thanks, bach12

Hi bach12:

The most versatile sotfware sampler I have used is Mach 5 by Motu. It reads all the Roland sampler banks, as well as many other samplers. I have been using sampleCell since 1995, and when I switched to M5, it was a breeze.

An Alternative to Chicken Sys. Translator is CDXtract

Works well for me. I translate to either emagic EXS24 or Native Instruments Kontakt.
