I'm looking to buy the small Korg PRX4 digital recorder but Ihave not seen documentation regarding Mac compatibility. The PRX4 records in MPEG1 format and has a USB port as well as a minijack output. Will either iTunes 2.0 or Titanium 5 import this format?

Sorry for the typo: I asking about the PXR4 Korg 4-Track digital recording studio. It records on SmartCards and has a USB port. So the question is whether iTunes or Toast Titanium 5.12 will automatically read the MPEG1 format of the music recorded??

They should work with it but really you might want to manipulate your recorded material anyhow before going to CD such as mixing, mastering, or just cleaning up the sound in another audio app first anyhow so I would just suggest getting a copy of something like SoundApp 2.6 to convert your audio recordings to the formats you need such as .aiff

Thanks Synthetic for your prompt comment. It is my understanding that this Pandora recording studio besides recording, does mix and edit on 4 separate tracks. But the literature says that it does it all in MPEG-1 format. So I wonder whether iTunes2.02 or Toast Titanium 5.12 running on Mac OS X immediately recognizes and plays back sound in this format etc.

I'm wondering if anyone reading this forum has or knows of anyone else with Korg Pandora experience with Macs??
