When ever i import the audio off the cd into the Logic as an audio track it only stays there as part of a sequence only as long as the cd frm which i took the sample is still in the computer .When i try to retieve the song at a later date it says whilst program is loading "audio not found " and subsequently i cant play back the audio in my song as i sampled it-Can anyone pleeese help, I am new to this...Thanks T java script:emoticon('') |

ok, i'm about 10000 kilometers from my Logic Pro right now
but i'll try to help... before closing out of your project: in the audio window, pull down the edit menu, choose SELECT ALL. pull down the menu to the left of that(i forget what it's called) and find COPY/CONVERT FILES or MOVE FILES... i'm sorry that i don't have it exactly. anyway, you then choose or create-then-choose a folder(definitely a good idea to create an audio folder within your project folder, named after the project) and click on COPY.you will be asked if you want to change the references to the new destination- you do... -------------------- -Victor

here's a related tip:
before doing any of that- pull down EDIT menu, click on SELECT UNUSED. then in the same menu, select CUT or CLEAR. NOT DELETE. now you won't be copying any files you decided not to use. depending on how many files you loaded but didn't use, you could be saving a lot of storage space. -------------------- -Victor
