Damn sticking zero key . . . and the sun was in my eyes . . .
I'm surprised no one wrote in to complain about the difficulty downloading the Foo Fighters song. I'm not such a big fan, but wanted to give it a try, and it looked like Apple failed to fully update iTMS so you could. After the 4.5 upgrade there was a new legal agreement to sign off on, but at first instead of getting that you'd get an error message. Maybe it was just me . . .

Just do like I do, don't use MP3. I've got ears, I respect them. Well… Most of the time… so many songs, so little money in the artist's bag, depressing.

Well, that's why this new lossless format is good news -- for your ears, anyway.
For musicians' pocketbooks, CD is still the way to go, thanks to self-publishing musicians. And now some are going to MP3 online purchase. No, Apple won't open up the iTMS to us -- but we'd get lost in there anyway. And the lack of DRM isn't of big concern to musicians who are perfectly happy to sell MP3s with no DRM -- and there are people who will purchase, even more so if you build a relationship between listener and musician.
