I am a Mac music beginner, with a problem I can't seem to solve.
I want to select one track in Protools LE, but by default, for some reason the grabber tool seems to select across several tracks instead of only where I click. I don't want to select an entire region. What am I doing wrong? Are some of my PTLE settings screwed up? Thanks, Sal |

Do you want to select just part of the waveform? To do that you need to use the selection tool. The grabber will grab an entire region on one track or more if you shift click. If you select in the top of the arranger it will also make a selection across all tracks instead of just one.

Yep!!!! That was what it was... The tracks were part of a group: "ALL"
I must have inadvertantly clicked one of those radio burrons in the MIX window without realizing it. One thing... the PTLE reference manual is tough to navigate to find answers to simple questions... Thanks for your help. -Sal |
