Only buy certified Apple compatible RAM (but not from Apple There's much more to RAM than the usual few specs, and same chips on the paper may not behave at all the same way in your mac. Last time I had to buy some (there was a real price difference) I went PC on 2nd hand chips, and I had to buy 4 chips to have the 2 working I needed (I sold the other 2 to happy PC users) Save time, buy certified.

I've got a mix of 1gb Viking DDR, and the stock 256mb stick that came with my MDD DP1.25-is it a bad idea to mix manufactures on one system? Do you think Viking makes quality memory?
