I have a Mac G4 and plan to making audio and midi music, but don't know what to buy (software and hardware) for a budget of 2500 euro.
I heard of Layla 24 Event and the Cubase.
Does it work well?
Can anyone suggest me a better package?

For audio i will defenitly recommend DIGI001/ProTools LE. (1000$ when i bought it) -24 tracks read/write -8 in/out- stereo spdif or optical in/out. ADAT connection for 8 in/outs more-Lots of plug-ins.
For midi it works well but i still use Cubase for that (and for VST instruments!).
I run easily both on my G4 400 w/ 384 MB of RAM. When it's OK i put midi into Protools and then go to a bigger studio. Protools is a standard in pro studios...
