Hi All,
Just bought a new MAC and found out there is no Aksys version available for OSX!
Does anybody know when it will be available (or if it will become available at all???)

Since i do almost everything with my s6000 i feel like SHIT!

actually i was told by a member of the OSXAUDIO forum that ak.sys didn't work in classic mode...i was waiting impatiently and sending enquiries to akai as to when it would be released... i was told more than 3 months ago "this should happen very soon."

a few weeks ago... when i tried loading ak.sys in OSX classic mode (booting OS9 from OSX) it actually opened and worked fine. i've been using it for 3 weeks now... i wish i tried it sooner.

good luck it should tie you over until akai releases the OSX version.
if you can't boot in OS9 you may need to get a copy to use temporarily...

Can you tell me how you got aksys to work in classic mode as I've tried it & when I launch it I get a message telling me it cant detect my S6000
I've check that the correct extentions are running but I just cant get it to work.

I had heard it was something to do with the USB driver not being compatable

Anybody heard anything about this from Akai? Its been over 6months they have been promising this & still they havent delivered!

Still the dreaded silence…

Last try from a user here was the January 14th in the FR forums but he dropped a quastion to the hotline from Akai to no avail. Our firend BusError gave us last year some insider hints of the developement squad at Akai but they must have still "their plates full" so the soft is still not out.

I join the relevant threads to keep things clean wink.gif

Hi everybody,

I have also waited foir almost a year for AkSys on OSX. Now it's finally there, it's not working. I am working on OSX Panther: 10.3.3) but the only thing that happens is the pop up screen where you can see your samples but I can't do anything with it.
Suggestions anyone?

Is it working with your S5000/S6000?????

thx
