Where am I going wrong!!!!!
I am fairly new to tools and I must say that I think it kicks ass for Audio if someone can help me with this then its goodbye logic Forever smile.gif

Hello Lol,

Try 'MIDI' from the drop down menu, then 'INPUT DEVICES' then make sure that your controller is checked and you should be ok. Other than that it may be the thing we all do like forgetting to switch on the keyboard or somethin'!!

Regarding kickstarting 'ABSYNTH' or any other Direct Connect plug in, you always have to boot the plug in app first, so you therefore have PT and your Absynth or whatever running. To be honest, it's a pain in the arse.

Atmosphere, Stylus and Trilogy are different - they are RTAS plug ins and so should come up straight away when selected. I'm sure you're aware that you have to make an audio track for the plug in AND a track for the midi data. That's a pain in the arse too. In fact, I'm gonna wait a while for Apple to release the Dual 3 gigs (which will no doubt show up before Xmas) and, providing the MOTU 896 HD sounds as good as an 888/24, I'm going back to native. PT is fantastic for audio as you so rightly say, but when it comes to midi sequencing and composition, it's bollox.

Hope I have been of some assistance to you Lol. If not, you'll have to ask someone else because I'm clueless.!!:-)

Take care.

Andy Holt.
