Just read the Live 4 info and the next version may be able to import mp3 files. Any others out there with this capability that you have had any success with. I have a number of works in progress that I burnt over the last few years and would like to import parts of them to continue on with.

talked with a person at Abbelton, explained what happened and they told me I would need an mp3 to aiff converter.
Anyone care to recommend one that is good - I bought a large portable hardrive so that if the main hd has to be re-imaged I will be able to keep the Logic files separate.

Why not use iTunes to do the conversion?

thanks for the I was looking at doing that earlier but chose a song my son put on and it must have been imported as an mp3 as I couldn't convert it - just to see what would happen. Anyway tried one of my own and worked great! Can't thank you enough for your suggestion. biggrin.gif
