Phatmatik Pro is similar to recycle except that it works as a plugin inside your host sequencer.
They have just released an audio unit version (and OS X VST) so it works in OS X with logic.

Have a read of all the features, I think it's better than recycle!

Just in case you weren't aware, Recycle apparently runs in Classic if the OMS extension is disabled:

As for how to disable the OMS extension, you can dig through this thread.
http://www.osxaudio.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=1282

I haven't tried this myself (don't even own Recycle) but a number of people reported success using this method.

But, as formatj points out, Phatmatik might be the better way to go here (unless you already own Recycle and don't have the extra cash to spend).

Phatmatik Pro looks realy good, i downloaded the manual but can't find anything about Akai sampler support.
I basicly "used recycle" to cut up samples and to export the slices to my Akai samplers, and the midi file to the sequencer
I can't find anything about this in the Phatmatik Pro manual.
Does anybody know if this is posible ?

Phatmatik Pro does not support exporting to external samplers, however there is no need to. Everything is done from within your sequencer. Once you have sliced your audio file you can export the midi file to your arrange page of logic (or other sequencer) by holding the "option" key and dragging from a button on phatmatik. Logic will then trigger the slices in Phatmatik.
It's much faster and more powerful than using an external sampler.
I think there should be a demo available soon.

I presume that this phatmatik works with Cubase too, is it a standard VST plug-in? I use both Logic and Cubase, but am in Cubase mode at the moment.

Yes it does work in cubase, with VST support for OS 9 and OS X.
