One year ago i tested REAKTOR on a G4 dual under Logic, it was crashing whole the time, at the same time i was testing Absynth, it was crashing whole the time and was to CPU intensive.
So i contacted NI on there forum and told them about the problems, the day after i got a mail from the moderator that i was kicked out the forum (i still have that mail) because i made some bad pr for there bussines, i asked for help not to be judged.
Last week i tested the new Reaktor again and faced thesame problems, crashing and to CPU intensive, i dont think its a Mac problem because at the moment a run about 14 audio-units on my G5 under Logic Pro without a single problem (My studio is in use by different musicians, and powered 24/24)
So tell me, is there someone who runs the REAKTOR on his Mac without rebooting every hour....?
Im sure the NI team will send me a very angry mail

GreetZ, Gin

At least they fix some bugs on Reaktor.
There are still a lot more bugs on all of their products.
Some old bugs on OS 9 Battery since it's been out will never be fixed.
I have 8 NI products and all have bugs.
No more NI products or any products that use NI engine for me.

Hmmm, I've been using Reaktor 3 on my iBook for years without any major problems. I also use Reaktor 4 on my G4 in DP4 without problems.

Same for Absynth, B4, Battery, FM7, Intakt, Kompakt, Kontakt, Pro-53, and Spektral Delay. The only Komplete 2 product that won't work is Vokator (it crashes DP4 on instantiation).

Just my experience...

Good luck!

i tinkered with an absynth demo for a while and found the
whole thing clumsy, inefficient and exasperating and i think that all the sounds have a similar feel - i would never feel comfortable using absynth for anything serious and certainly not for anything commercial - as a company, i find their attitude pretty arrogant, some of the comments i have heard
from reps at trade fairs have led me to believe that there
is something not quite right with the company.....

these guys need to realise that its the little 'annoying'
people with not much cash who turn into the hit factories of tomorrow

there are better sounds out there, more intuitive interfaces,
better deals and better support.

if you drink too much absynthe it makes you go mad - that's why they banned it!

I am running Reaktor 4.1.2 on a PB 17" 1 Ghz under OS 10.3.4.

I am not experiencing crashes with it (or Absynth which I like and use very much). I mostly use it with Logic 6.4.2 but also on occasion run it standalone. I am not here to defend NI or say there are not problems users experience, only to answer the original poster's question "So tell me, is there someone who runs the REAKTOR on his Mac without rebooting every hour....?
". Yes there are. (Under OSX for over a year)
