Hello there.
I have a problem with Midi files. I'm a guitarist and i have plenty of Midi files for practicing. But my problem is I can't burn them on CD to practice in my own room. Because i don't got my own mac, so that i could just play them with Quicktime. When Dragging Midi files to audiosection in Toast, it's said "no audio file". So my question:
"Is there any application out there, which can convert midi files into wave or aiff?"
I found one on this site, named "Dent du Midi" but it only converts the single miditracks.
I would be glad if you could help me,
greets Nicken

really what your going to need is a program with a synth engine,

Oh oh oh your in luck, I just read that if your running panther you can just drag then into iTunes. It will add in the general midi sounds in there for you. I just when Future Music Magazine tested it, there was only one crash, It's not the best thing but a nice fun surprize. laugh.gif

With quicktime pro (it's an ad-on to the free player, that you must buy on apple site), you'll be able to export your midi files as audio files that you'll be able to burn as a cd audio with itunes or toast...

Oh thanks, i just recognised that dragging the files into iTunes works on 10.2 too, so i will check if it's possible to burn them right from there.
But talking about iTunes and burning:
Do you also have a problem with CDs burned with itunes? I often had the problem that there was a failburn in the last track of a cd, only the last seconds. but it brings the cdplayer to jump.

so, maybe you can hel me,
thanks Nicken

Sorry I couldn't help you, I didn't use Itunes to burn Audio CD since many years, use only Toast with Jam... sad.gif smile.gif smile.gif wink.gif
