hi
i'm deciding if for me is better to buy logic big box or logic audio 6. I always work on midi and i would use logic and virtual instruments to play my midi and create an audio. Now is there someone who can tell me how good is the notation interface of logic gold and silver 6? Can I do a crescendo at the notation level or do i have to go to the list editor? There are the simbols for "staccato", "forzato" and things like that that also change how the note is played or do i have to change manually the notes to have this effects? Does logic silver have the freeze function for virtual instrument? thanks Michael |

Sorry, can't answer your specific questions regarding notation, but I can help clear up a little confusion. First off, there is no more Logic (Audio) Silver. This became what is now known as Logic Audio and is the version that comes with the Big Box. In fact, I don't believe Logic Audio is even sold separately yet, and based on the prices I used to see for Silver, the Big Box is cheaper anyway. What were previously Logic Audio Gold and Logic Audio Platinum are now Logic Gold and Logic Platinum, respectively. Now that I've no doubt lost you, just check out this handy comparison chart of the three current versions to see if you can find the answer to your notation questions:
Click Here and look for number 6 (Score Features). PS - If you happen to buy or see a Big Box and wind up with a version of Logic Audio 5, that's just due to old inventory and you can get a free upgrade to Logic Audio 6 through emagic. Of course, it would be easiest to just find a distributor that is stocking the Big Box with version 6... |
