Hi guys,

Been trying to download sf2's on OS9, but everything I run into is either for PC or OSX (Sfark, etc.). Anybody know a workable OS9 utility? Much appreciation in advance.

shouldn't make a difference whether mac or pc really... which app are you trying to use the soundfonts with? do they have the .sf2 extension on them? I use Logic 4.8.1 with ESX24 and the ESX24 imports any .sf2 files I have found on the web which most if not all were made on PC's I am betting.

You can use VSAMP to play or convert SoundFont in both OS9 & OSX.
It's only $39. biggrin.gif

Synthetic—Haven't gotten the app yet. I'm thinking of getting Reason, which I like the looks of, and I'd read that its samplers take sf2 files, which would make me much more likely to buy it. Thought I'd do some legwork in advance while I get the $ together, and started trying to download some soundfonts (I'm an aggressive shopper). Problem is, everything I've seen free on the web (yes, I'm a poor man) is in either RAR or Sfark format, which I can't seem to download. Do I need to get the app first? Is there a place to download straight sf2's? Azusa—About VSamp, what are your experiences with it? How is it for sound quality, etc.?
