In fairness, the 'refresh cycles' are different for the different product lines…certainly I would like to see more announcements 'geared' towards music makers but Apple keeps their development very quiet and product line cycles separate so one may not want to jump to any conclusions (few saw the new Mac Pro coming, in fact popular opinion was Mac Pro development was over).Beisdes, their success in 'consumer markets' like the iPhone make everything else possible…Apple would not exist today to develop the next generation of pro machines if not for iPads and iPhones -)

I think there were a couple interesting things for music. First, the watch has a pressure sensitive screen. This is an excellent technology for music apps, if apple brings this to future iphones and ipads it could negate the need for separate drum and keyboard controllers. Second, a bigger iphone means more usable music apps on the iphone, generally i don't do any music on my iphone due to screen size. The ipad is much more useful for music apps. The bigger screen would help though.

Well, Apple just announced new Mac Minis but they dropped the quad core processor option. WTF!

And what about that Retina 5K iMac. It's suppose to have nice sounding speakers. And that is the extent of any mention of audio features. It does have a 4GHz i7 processor option if you're willing to pay the additional $700 for the Retina display that you'll need to set to 2560X1440 so you can actually see what the heck you're doing.

Thanks Apple!
