For the life of me I can't get the midi tracks to playback using the "Tutorial Song" file that came with Logic Delta 4.8.1 included with my M-Audio Quattro. I can hear all audio tracks I create but none of the midi stuff that's in the tutorial song or ones I create with my Yamaha PSR-160. All cd music and MP3 files payback from QT6 or the Apple CD Player. What's with the midi stuff?
I've set up OMS 2.8.3 per instructed but used the Yamaha PSR-195 since there was no 160. I got the little tune and the midi device voice as well as the midi in and out registering in the transport window. My setup G4 400, fresh install of 9.1, 1.5GB ram, dedicated Maxtor 80GB 7200rpm. Yamaha EMX620 mixer M-Audio Quattro with current drivers from website. Yamaha PSR-160 keyboard hookup: EMX620 main out to Quattro input 1 Quattro output 1 to EMX620 aux in EMX620 speaker out to powered Mackie speaker. PSR-160 using a midi cable to the Quattro midi in (records but no sound out) Sound out signal registers in Logic Tranport window and activity lights in the Logic mixer window. I've set the hardware prefs to use the Quattro and the Sound control panel output and input to use the Quattro and checked the box to play output to usb device. All playback happens in all the other programs and the audio tracks just not with the recorded midi stuff. -------------------- ----
Relax, don't worry, have my homebrew. Russian Imperial Stout (aged 1 year) currently on tap. |

Hi,
I would recommend you to read all the replies to my message "Why Can't I Hear My Dx7 On My Sequencers?" since I was also wondering why I couldn't hear the midi files I recorded on my sequencers... I hope it will help you : ) |
