Hello all, i am newbie on this forum and also i am playing with idea to buy Mac for my next producing of music. But there is small "but". First i would like to know, if it is really worth it, what are advacements, what can i expect from Mac etc. I am using Ableton on PC and sometimes (more that sometimes) i really hate those people who put their minds and fingers into XP and whole windows... I hope that my expectations are not so excessive and faith that Mac can solve my expectations are not in vain too. Its "better" to buy MacBook or iMac? Does not matter on size of it, just the ability to use it. What are you opinions for minimal requirements for Mac if i want to use Ableton and VST, VSTi. I really appreciate your answers and advices. Sorry for my english if i am wrong i am not a native english speaker. Tomy

On the macbook vs imac debate, the real questions are :
- do I need the real estate the imac screen gives me? - do I need the mobility the macbook gives me?
Else, in regardes to power, memory, expandability, interfaces, it'll round up to the same issues (basically, it's the "same" computer with only small differences).
You'll still need an external hard drive, an external audio interface, to max out RAM…
