Hi

There is probably a simple explanation to the problem I'm having...well I hope there is anyway!

Just purchased MBox for my Mac 1.5GHz Powerbook G4, with 1GB DDR SDRAM running Version 10.4.8. Installed the 'Pro Tools LE (Version 6.1.2)' CD, however when I try to run the Pro Tools software, I get the following:

QUOTE
Digidesign hardware is in use by another application. (-1133)

Likewise, if I try and open the 'Digidesign CoreAudio Setup' program, I get this message:

QUOTE
Direct IO is in use by another application. In order to use this setup application, please quit all applications using DirectIO, and then re-launch this application.

Erm...I didn't think I was running any other Direct IO-using applications! All I have running is OSX and that's it! No other programmes open

Hope someone can help. Sorry if this has been posted before - I couldn't seem to find an answer!

I'm not sure if Pro Tools 6.1.2 is compatible with Tiger you may have to upgrade Pro Tools for it to work in Tiger. I'm using 6.9 in Panther so I bet it's a software incompatibility.

You need PT 6.9.2 as a minimum to run PT with Tiger. You'd have to downgrade OS X to 10.2 to run the version you have...officially.

Here's a link to the compat grid at Digi.
