i realy like my firebox. it was literaly the first plugin-and play scenereo ive ever encountered with a device (outside of a stompbox and amp). mac recognized it immediately. never has let me down. only complaint in the whole world, personaly, sometimes my computer produces a high ppitch squeel when i plug iin my firewire. if i pull it out then place it back in it clears it up. wouldn't want anything else for the price/quality/type of work i do. sorry about typos but im dead tired. hope it helped.

I have both and for portability and driverlessness I'd give a slight edge to Firebox. They both sound great.
