 M-audio Firewire 1814 And Korg D16 |

I would like to use these two together. I am hoping to bring the optical out from the D16 into the Firewire 1814, recording in Pro Tools. Would all of this work, and would I get the 8 inputs on the D16 going through the optical coming into the Firewire 1814 and would I be able to mix those in Pro Tools?
