Hey all,
Does anyone here have any recomendations for a virtual orchestra for use with Logic 6? I'm currently using garritan's personal orchestra but am looking to upgrade. Many thanks |

There is a GPO advanced coming out that will be more of a pro set. If you already have GPO you will probably be able to upgrade to it. Otherwise, East West/Quantum Leap Symphonic Orchestra Gold Edition is probably your next step up. Also check out Philharmonic Miroslav from IK Multimedia.

Hi there,
I have the GPO but can't find a way to play it normally, that means with velocity on the keyboard, not the wheel. So I think in fact I wasted my money on this plug in. |

There is a x-custom set of instruments that use regular volocity. The only problem is that the latest Kontakt player update has a big problem with them. The velocity has been reversed so when you play lightly it sounds loud and playing hard makes it sound soft. If you have the older Kontakt player don't update it! Pretty crazy, huh. Hopefully NI will correct the problem soon. The x-custom instruments are at gpo.com>support>downloads.

Good news! To correct the velocity problem with the X-Custom instruments just pull the velocity slider above the keys in the Kontakt player to the left-into negative settings. The percussive instruments work fine back in positive settings. The X-Custom instruments (which need to be placed in the same folder as the wet and dry instrument folders) and updates are available here.
