I need an external HD so that i can work with both Windows and Macs. What will i need to format the hardrive to? i know that macs cant write to NTFS yet FAT32 has a limit to its partition size. I want a 250GB drive so whats the best solution?

FAT32 will limit you but works (sloooooow, not partitionable from OSX), though limited on the mac, 30 GB partitions only. NTFS is read faster from Panther, I don't know if Tiger can write at last to NTFS…
If you don't need to use the drive for a session under Protools on a PC for exemple, use standard HFS+ and install MacDrive on the PC, no fuss. It just work -------------------- Our Classifeds • Nos petites annonces • Terms Of Service / Conditions d'Utilisation • Forum Rules / Règles des Forums • MacMusic.Org & SETI@Home
