Hi,

I am having some problems with Moog Modular V..

I have a G5 Duel 2.0Ghz Processor with 512mb ram also OSX Latest version and update . When I use MM-V as a stand alone application it opens then the OS gives me the message this application has quit only a few seconds later. This did not happen on my g4. Also when I try and use it as a Plugin (RTAS) it works fine then crashes Protools as well.

As you can imagine this is very frustrating. I have contracted Aturia who as yet have been most unhelpful. Any suggestions on why it would not work now would be fantastic.

Repair authorizations with Apple drive utility.
Then trash preferences and caches if it still a problem.

If you have any demo around in you plug-ins, uninstall-them / trash them too.

I had this same problem a while back, and traced it to Audio Hijack by Rogue Amoeba. Removing it fixed the crashing problem. If you have any kind of system add-on that modifies the Core Audio engine behavior, similar to Audio Hijack, try removing it and see what happens.

Is 512 mb really enough ram to run this program? I remember having trouble running this program on my laptop with its limitied ram and speed. On my G5 2.0 dp, with 3 gb this program runs effortlessly. Activity Monitor rarely shows use above 2 gb, but I seem to almost always be above 1gb when running music programs and plug-ins.

Good luck
