hi,


i would like to connect my akai s2000 sampler to an emac , how can i do??

i've seen akai has midi out and scsi too...
.. can anyone help me??

the midi in/out is for the signals you send to make your akai play the samples.

to the scsi you can hook up forr example an external hd or cd rom. if your emac has scsi you could send samples to the external hd of your akai - bais peak eg. supports this.
but be careful, dont just connect scsi without having read a guide to do how.

thank u , my emac doesn't have scsi so can i control my s2000 anyway by midi only??

via midi you can only send signals to control/play the samples on your s2000. the samples themself should be loaded before on your akai. to trigger the samples you need a program that handles midi (logic for eixample). next thing you should have is something like a usb2midi-hardware and a masterkeyboard isnt bad at all.
you should to some reading about midi and interfaces. i'm shure there you'll find many more in deep details than i can tell you now.
