Thinking of Delta 1010lt to along with Digital Performer,REASON, Recycle,Oxygen 8, kinda new to all of this, just gave up on djing, want to produce fulltime and will be attending school fulltime for Recording Technology. Is there less expensive cards out there that will get the job done?

Depends on how you work, if you are a one man-band look at the other m-audio cards.

If you want to recrod multiple live musiscians the Delta 1010, MOTU interfaces, or Echo interfaces.

I have the Delta 410.
