I just got a G5 2.5, with 4 gigs of RAM, and installed Logic Pro 6. I am using a Digidesign 002 firewire interface, which worked FINE with core audio on my G4 800mhz machine (on OSX 10.3.4 also) On the G5, however, core audio gives me errors everytime I open Logic. I downloaded and installed the latest Core Audio 6.5.2 from Digidesign, same problem. Can anyone help??

For anyone who cares, I got it working. (NO IDEA HOW) I plugged the Digi002 into the FRONT firewire port, opened and closed Digidesign Core Audio a couple times, restarted, opened logic pro, and it started working. It's been bulletproof since...
I guess core audio is iffy, once you get it working though it's cool. I had a similar experience with my G4... |
