Ok I just got a powerbook for school (with a 80 GB HDD I belive) I have an iPod 40 Gb and I plan on getting a 160 GB Firewire drive.

Ok so my computer is for school (music school) so I plan on having alot of Songs saved some where, I also will have Cubse, Protools almost every NI suite, Reason Toast and Jam Finale and so on...........

I also plan of having college/kid/graphic design stuff on it too. (such as MS Office, Macromedia studio MX,photoshop and maybe a couple of games too.....

so........how should I set up my drives so I can get the best performance out of my computer???
I have :

40 GC iPod
150 GB HDD Firewire
(just to recap)

so if someone could give me some advice I'd greatly appreciate it
